This is truly one of my favorite engagement rings I've made to date. Paige came to me wanting to create an engagement ring for her partner that felt deeply personal to them. She sent over plenty of inspiration photos, but my favorite part was finding a way to incorporate her partner's tattoos into the design.
Her partner, Theo, is Mexican and Colombian, making the emerald a perfect choice for the center stone. For the hand engraving, we drew inspiration from Theo’s Aztec Mexican inspired tattoos. That is what really drew me to this piece. I'm half Mexican myself, and I'm always trying to find small ways to incorporate elements of Mexican art into my work.
I'm incredibly grateful to be a small part of such an important moment in their lives. The amount of thought she put into every detail made this project even more exciting to work on. I wish them both the best as they start this new chapter together!
